Procedure

1. Obtain a class set of free English language tourist maps of Busan

2. Make sure that students are "map aware" to the signs and conventions shown on the map. Check compass orientation. Demonstrate the use of distance scales. Trace rivers, subways, roads etc. Explain any elevation contours etc shown in colour.

2. Familiarize students with the maps by running a team competition to find landmark destinations on the map, then the nearest subway or bus route.

3. Give a sample set of directions to a tourist destination on the other side of the city; (e.g. T'ajongdae Reserve). Include information on transport options to the site.

4. Prepare a list of popular destinations.

5. Have teams compete to present the clearest and most adequate directions to a site.
